Showers of Blessings Community Outreach workers have put in thousands of hours in serving and witnessing to Calgary’s diverse communities as well as the needs of others in other countries.
Showers of Blessings Church is a recipient of a grant from the Good Food Access Fund. This will support the expansion of the Outreach Ministry’s efforts to provide essential and healthy food options for those within our community. We’re grateful to @aplaceforfood and #GoodFoodAccessFund donors for providing essential funding to help us offer emergency food relief in our community.
The Outreach Ministry is also involved in bringing the Word of God and much needed supplies to persons in Calgary – Monterey Place and Forest Grove Nursing Homes; The Mustard Seed; The Calgary Drop-In Center; Calgary Urban Projects Society (CUPS); Sonshine Community Services and Whitehorn Community Center’s Adopt-A-Family program. Our efforts in other countries has focused on India, Guyana and Jamaica. Our mission in these countries has allowed us to share the word of God and to provide much needed assistance on projects as well as clothing, school supplies and household items.
