Our Values

Our Mission:

At Showers of Blessings Apostolic Church, our mission is to introduce individuals to Jesus and to assist them to develop a lasting and personal relationship with Him that will transform their lives, foster Christian maturity and equip them to fulfill their purpose.

Core Values:

At the very core of our being is a conviction that informs how we live as children of God. These core values guide our priorities as a church family and inspire us to pursue deeper levels of growth and service in fulfillment of God’s kingdom.

These core values are:

We value God, His word and His creation, His redemptive purpose in Christ for the world and His presence through the Holy Spirit.

We value people without Christ, to whom we owe the compassion of Christ and an opportunity to receive the gospel so they can enter into Christian fellowship.

We value individual believers and their personal commitment to Christ, the baptism in the Holy Spirit, discipleship, Christian family life and fulfillment of the will of God.

We value local churches worldwide which are marked by sound doctrine, Pentecostal worship, every member ministry, loving relationships, Holy Spirit-empowered evangelism, anointed proclamation and practical expression of Christian faith.

We value cooperative fellowship that enhances the church’s ability to fulfill its mandate through servant leadership, a shared vision, flexible structures and strategic mobilization of its resources.

Statement of Faith

Showers of Blessings Apostolic Church accepts as its creed discipline, rules of order and doctrine based on the word of God as taught and revealed by the Holy Ghost. We believe in the whole Bible, accepting that, “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works” (II Timothy 3:16-17).

We believe that the entire Bible in the original, is without error and is therefore the authority in matters of faith and practice. We believe that the Bible contains the complete word of God and that God does not grant new revelations which contradict biblical truth: “Every word of God is pure…Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar” (Proverbs 30:5-6).

We believe that there is but one God, in essence and in person, from whom and in whom there is a divine threefold manifestation and relationship made known as the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost. These three are one God having the same nature and attributes and worthy of the same homage, confidence and obedience: “And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life” (I John 5:20).

We believe that salvation has been provided for all, through the sacrifice of the Lord Jesus Christ: “Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness…(1 Peter 2:24); “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8).

We believe that all persons must repent of their sins, must be baptized in water, in the name of Jesus Christ, for the remission of sin: “Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life” (Romans 6:4).

We believe that all persons must receive the gift of the Holy Ghost with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues, as the Spirit gives utterance: “…Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost” (Acts 2:38).

We believe that God has freely given supernatural abilities to people, through which believers are able to minister in specific situations. These gifts of the Spirit serve to strengthen the church and also demonstrate God’s presence among His people: “And the Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord” (Isaiah 11:2).
